What are you doing now?
I am currently a product engineer at a software company, where I design and deliver solutions primarily for defense and intelligence customers.
How has the Fellowship impacted your career?
Participating in the Fellowship significantly strengthened my research skills, as well as my ability to receive and incorporate feedback. This was invaluable in graduate school and in roles with multiple federal agencies and organizations, where I was often required to quickly develop subject-matter expertise and brief officials on important issues. I have carried those lessons into my current role in the private sector.
What is your favorite memory from the Fellowship?
I most enjoyed speaking with and learning from current and former members of Congress, and hearing about foreign policy from their unique vantage points. That experience inspired me to return to Washington, D.C. as a congressional intern, which was one of my most valuable hands-on learning experiences to date.
What is your dream job?
Cartographer.
