The Dreamers

The Dreamers is a collection of profiles highlighting the innovators, scientists, engineers, and visionaries whose work helped shape the United States. Venturing beyond household names—from Chien-Shiung Wu to Margaret Hamilton—each profile examines not just what these figures achieved, but how: the moments of persistence, and the institutions and communities that made their work possible. Together, they reveal the underlying features of American culture and society that have, again and again, turned ambitious ideas into transformative realities. Published as part of CSPC's Quarter Millennial Project, The Dreamers revisits 250 years of American history to highlight the people who made it possible.
