Mr. Michael Stecher

Mr. Stecher served as a Special Assistant and Speechwriter to the Secretary of the Air Force during the Obama Administration. He also served as a volunteer at the State Department at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations and at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies, the Department of Defense Regional Security Studies Institute for the Pacific Command area of responsibility. He began his career at Goldman Sachs, working in Corporate Treasury and the Securities Division before leaving in 2013. He also worked at CSPC as a Senior Research Fellow before his appointment in the Department of the Air Force.

Mr. Stecher holds an MPA in International Security Policy from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University, where he co-led a research project for the RAND Corporation on policy responses to strengthen NATO members against the Russian hybrid warfare threat, and a BSFS from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
