Mr. Dan Mahaffee

Dan Mahaffee is the Eisenhower Fellow at CSPC. He was previously the Center’s Senior Vice President & Director of Policy, where he managed programs on technology policy, national security, geopolitical competition, and domestic U.S. politics.

Dan is also the Vice Chairman of the Dr. Scholl Foundation in Northbrook, Illinois.

He holds a MA in Security Studies with a concentration in U.S. Defense Policy from Georgetown University, and a BA in Government, with minors in History and Mandarin Chinese, also from Georgetown. He also studied at the East China Normal University in Shanghai, China, and was a 2008-2009 CSPC Presidential Fellow.

His work has been published in POLITICO, the Real Clear family of websites, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, and the CSPC Fellows Review. He has also contributed to articles in the Wall Street Journal, on the Bloomberg and Xinhua Wire Services, and appeared on several international news channels.
