Commission on Civility & Effective Governance Fact Sheets

As part of the CSPC Commission on Civility & Effective Governance, CSPC researchers are cataloguing the data that lays bare the dysfunction in our political system and the cost to our economy, political system, and the faith of the American people in their government.  By examining the effect of non-competitive districts, money in politics, budget deadlock, and the collapse of confidence in key government institutions, these fact sheets are a useful resource for anyone look to learn more about the challenges facing the American political system—or to share with friends and colleagues interested in politics.  These fact sheets also provide a few points of potential reform to redistricting processes and primary elections that may improve the competitiveness of American elections and encourage civility and compromise among our leaders.
