Research Associate
Historical Application Coordinator
Kirstin Margosian joined the Center in January of 2011. As Research Associate and Historical Application Coordinator, she is responsible for several research-based projects at the Center. Among these projects are the writing of an additional chapter for the republication of Dr. Abshire’s book, The South Rejects a Prophet, based on original research. She also had a hand in the editing and publication of the Center's project on Civility and the American Experience, made possible by a chairman’s grant from the National Endowment of the Humanities. Additionally, she has taken on a number of projects relating to the academic periodical journal, Presidential Studies Quarterly. Not only is she responsible for analyzing a number of articles to pick out important highlights and lessons for policy-makers to consider, but she is also initiating the creation, research and ongoing maintenance of the Presidential Studies Quarterly supplementary glossary.
Before joining the Center, initially as an intern, Kirstin also interned at the POLAD office in the Bureau of Political-Military affairs at Department of State.
Kirstin received her Master of Arts in History as a Distinguished Graduate Scholar from San Francisco State University in May 2011, concentrating with a secondary emphasis in International Relations and auxiliary study in French. She is also a permanent member of Phi Alpha Theta—the National History Honors Society—Kappa Phi chapter.
