The Honorable David Rothkopf is the internationally acclaimed author of Superclass: The Global Power Elite and the World They are Making (Farrar, Straus & Giroux, 2008) and Running the World: The Inside Story of the National Security Council and the Architects of American Power (Public Affairs, 2005). Rothkopf is a regular contributor to Foreign Policy Magazine and writes a daily column for their website. He has served on the faculty of both the Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. Rothkopf is President and Chief Executive of Garten Rothkopf, an international advisory group with offices in Washington, New York and San Francisco. He is also a visiting scholar at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, where he chairs the Carnegie Economic Strategy Roundtable. Previously, he served as Chairman and CEO of Intellibridge Corporation, as managing director of Kissinger Associates, and as both Acting U.S. Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade and Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Policy. He is on the advisory Boards of the U.S. Institute for Peace, the Center for Global Development and the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
