Glenn Nye is a Senior Advisor at Palantir Technologies and a Senior Fellow at the German Marshall Fund of the United States. He serves on the Board of VetsHouse, a veterans service organization, and on the Congressional Fiscal Leadership Council of Fix the Debt. He was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from the second district of Virginia from 2009-2011, serving on the Armed Services, Veterans Affairs, and Small Business Committees.
Prior to his time in Congress, he was a member of the U.S. Foreign Service, including tours in Macedonia, where he was awarded the State Department Superior Honor Award for negotiating the release of an American hostage, and Singapore, where he supported final negotiations for the U.S.-Singapore Free Trade Agreement. He also conducted USAID development missions in Afghanistan, the West Bank, and Iraq.
Born in Philadelphia, and a native of the Hampton Roads, Virginia area, he is a graduate of the Georgetown University Walsh School of Foreign Service.
